We fight with difficult emotions like we’re wrestling a swamp gator.

David had an insatiable thirst for lining up & snorting people’s fears.

Renewal comes through hardship. Said another way, it comes through an inner process that offers discomfort.

Every experience is an offering — it provides information for us to consider and therefore, be altered by.

There is a purification element to the discomfort of difficult emotions. The ones we aren’t well equipped to feel.

We fight with the existence of feeling like we’re wrestling a swamp gator, but do we even know what it is we’re fighting with?

Some say it’s all us we’re waging war with — fragmented manifestations of early impacts. The voices of our dads or moms. Judgmental “shoulds” we took on as our own that directly conflict with our hopes & dreams — that which does not belong to us, imprinted in the psyche, causing one heck of a cluster of regurgitated familial suffering.

And some say there’s other realms involved, too — energetic attachments that don’t belong within our energy field, which nonetheless, have made a home within our bodies and minds.

Regardless of how we choose to consider the source of our experiences, we learn something when we attempting to take down the inner gators. Most importantly, that the more we come at the process with brute force, the less likely we are to alter the manifestations of our inner world in an empowering way.

Whatever you choose to ponder or reject about where the gator in you came from, and what it is, there is an opening for understanding that Outside forces do influence us.

There’s room to consider that, potentially, the essence of who we are has been tampered with, right from the start. And pondering this does not eradicate our ability to create an inner space that’s not so 5 star and available to discordant energies, supporting the drawing in of more of them entering and taking up residence in OUR home.

But we have to be willing to engage with difficult emotions — not bypass — and ask a potentially mind boggling question:

Does this belong to me? Is this mine? Or is it someone else’s?

And does it actually want to live in me? Or does it just not know where else to go?

We might not like our lot in life — we might not like how we feel about where we are in our journey. But our comfort levels don’t warp the Knowing, that WE are responsible for the healing.

And that we have work to do — long term work that will pay off, if we are willing to engage with the gators.

Expanding our view of existence and the potentialities of human interference is a powerful thing to ponder right now.
